Ebbsfleet Central Branding & Visioning
Leading London design agency, The Yard Creative, has been awarded the contract for the Ebbsfleet Central brand and visioning brief by Ebbsfleet Development Corporation (EDC) – the public body, sponsored by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government facilitating the delivery of up to 15,000 homes and new Garden City in north Kent.
The prestigious, multi-disciplinary project aims to shape the identity and vision for Ebbsfleet Central, a key development within the Ebbsfleet Garden City scheme.
The Yard Creative is leading a team which includes global strategic communications and advocacy group SEC Newgate and visionary architects and urbanists Allies and Morrison. Together, it will collaborate with EDC and its stakeholders to develop a comprehensive creative strategy, developing a distinctive, insight-led brand and communications strategy that encapsulates the connectivity, commercial potential, well-being, and placemaking ambitions for Ebbsfleet Central.
Ebbsfleet Central is set to become the heart of Ebbsfleet Garden City, capitalising on its connectivity to deliver high-quality, flexible workspace, and creating a dynamic and innovative sub-regional business hub. This ambitious development will integrate a well-designed public realm and green spaces, vibrant urban neighbourhoods, and amenities that support a healthy, happy lifestyle.
The Yard’s Managing Director, Laurence Pugh, said: “This is really exciting. Winning the Ebbsfleet Central Brand & Visioning project is a testament to our team’s creativity, strength, and depth. Having worked for some of the biggest developer brands in the country, we are eager to bring our approach to this groundbreaking sustainable development, ensuring that Ebbsfleet Central becomes a vibrant, dynamic hub that truly reflects the aspirations of the community.”
Laura Leggetter, Co-Head of Communications at SEC Newgate UK said: “We are thrilled to be involved in a masterplan of such scale and significance and bring our extensive work across UK placemaking to help steer the next chapter with an intelligent, insight-led strategy that has a positive, lasting impact.”
Jason Syrett, Partner at Allies and Morrison, said: “We are delighted to be supporting The Yard Creative team in shaping the vision and identity for Ebbsfleet Central. As the mixed-use heart of the growing garden community, it Is imperative that the new homes, workplaces, community uses, and generous open spaces create sustainable places for all to enjoy as part of delivering an inclusive healthy community.”
