Top concept this week; the rise of Capsule hotels

A trend that began in Japan and is gradually gaining more traction from other parts of the world.

The hotel offers pod like sleeping units for individuals to sleep in for around 40 Euros per night, cheaper than your average taxi and saves the stress of missing that last train home.

Nine Hours is the most recent addition to the capsule world, based in Japan and offering minimal capsules for travellers with modern and well-designed communal areas to socialise with the rest of the capsule adopters.

There are many different viewpoints on this concept, with many ending in the argument that whilst they appear cheap, they can also be seen as dirty. In the defence of the capsule pioneers, they’ve created a concept that has adapted to the ever evolving requirements of the modern traveller.
